Salon91 is a boutique-style gallery and art consultation service based in Kloof Street, Cape Town, showcasing works by emerging & established contemporary artists of all disciplines, passionate about developing a new brand of local talent. In offering all-new carefully selected and curated exhibitions across a multitude of disciplines rotating every three to four weeks, spanning a broad price range, we attempt to provide buyers and the viewing public with art that is accessible and fairly priced, within an intimate, non-threatening aesthetically pleasing environment. As a team we share the common experiences of having grown up in the context of a changing/ new South Africa, being fortunate enough to have travelled abroad, and having an education in fine arts. We have come to identify accessibility of the arts as a social responsibility or necessity rather than a simple business model.

 

Since its inception in 2008, our space has served as a platform for upcoming South African artists to gain exposure through sharing their creativity & unique vision. The gallery offers patrons a service that is personalized, friendly & professional, as well as excellent investment opportunities into the emerging South African art market.
