Nina Torr

NINA TORR is an artist/illustrator based in Pretoria. After attaining her BFA from the Parsons School of Design in New York in 2010, Torr returned to South Africa, where she recently completed her Masters at the University of Johannesburg. She is currently working as an artist and participating in exhibitions, as well as teaching illustration at the Open Window. Nina’s illustrations have been featured in local and international publications such as WeTransfer, Essie Letterpress’ Artist’s Almanac, the Bat Butt Zine and iJusi. She has also produced prints in collaboration with Black River Studio, David Krut and the Artist’s Press. Nina has held six solo exhibitions, most recently “Wayfinding” at David Krut Gallery JHB. Other venues where Nina regularly exhibits include No End Gallery (JHB) and 99 Loop Gallery (CT).
